About the Event

This 2 hour exploratory workshop will be hosted through Zoom by  Kevin Newman, a web developer in the Hudson Valley.

The workshop will focus on application building using the react native platform.  For more details see:   https://reactnative.dev/docs/getting-started 

During this workshop you will be introduced to the development platform and receive instruction required to program an simple app for your phone.

Instruction in React Native will be provided throughout the workshop for people who are not familiar with the React Native platform.

Required Equipment:

  1. Computer (Mac or Windows)
  2. Phone or tablet (iOS or Android)

Preparation:

  • You must be able to joint a zoom meeting and share your screen when necessary. (Details about how to join will be sent to you once you have registered.)
  • Prior to the workshop, you will be expected to follow instructions provided to install the development software on your computer.
